Fourth of July Celebration - Community Service Project

an event the whole Roswell Community could enjoy

Goal:

Roswell Rotary goal was to have a “Family of Rotary” event that the whole Roswell Community could enjoy.

Results:

Roswell Rotary started the new 2006-2007 “Lead the Way” Rotary year by co-sponsoring July 4^th in Roswell with the city of Roswell.  It was a great “Family of Rotary” event in Roswell with over 20,000 people joining in all fun. The event was on the lawn of Roswell school with activities starting at 5 pm with Banks and Shane on stage singing our national anthem.  Roswell Rotary president Ron Redner welcomed everyone by saying “Happy Birthday America you are 230 years old today and Roswell Rotary salutes you”! The fireworks then went off ending this great July 4^th event. Joe Glover and his Roswell Rotary July 4^th committee did a fantastic job on organizing this year July Fourth Celebration. Roswell Rotarians and their families had a special area to view the event under their new Roswell Rotary tent.
