Roswell Rotary Honors President Hagan
Bob Hagan - left, Gene Beckham - right
Congratulations to President Bob Hagan on winning Roswell Rotary’s Rotarian of the Year Award for 2007-2008! President Hagan received this honor from Past President Gene Beckham on behalf of Roswell Rotary for his many contributions to our club. Gene and his board successfully managed dozens of service projects throughout the year. As a top advisor, Bob was instrumental in the planning and execution of many of these projects and played a key role in helping Gene and Roswell Rotary win Club of the Year.
President Hagan and his board have quickly made the transition into action and are already supporting several community service projects:
- *Roswell Rotary recognized Tony Papel and his efforts to bring the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall to Roswell. It is a 240 foot long and eight feet high traveling replica of the original wall in Washington, D.C. It is a great opportunity for communities to rally together in support of our veterans and their families.
- *Roswell Rotary welcomed Ann Bergstrom, Executive Director of the Chattahoochee Nature Center. We appreciate her efforts to expand the nature center’s facilities and programs to better serve our community. Please visit: www.chattnaturecenter.com .
- *In addition, Bob and his board are kicking off our second Honor Air Flight. It is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Honor Air is an award-winning service project that provides World War II veterans with an all expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorial dedicated to them for their service to our country. For additional information and/or to help sponsor these heroes, please visit www.roswellrotary.com/honorair.
