Today's speaker was Pam Brown. Pam is with Prevent Child Abuse Georgia.

When PCAGeorgia was founded in the nineteen seventies, there were 1400 reported cases of child abuse. In 2004 there were more than 95,000 reported cases. By far, most abuse cases occur in the home by a parent or family relative. Most of these are categorized as "neglect."
