Today's speaker was Dr. Mike Dailey. The Dr. spoke about Pandemic Disease. Pandemic diseases occur when a particularly virulent pathogen (bacteria or virus) invades a population that has no immunity to it. This is what is expected of the "Bird Flu" which is occurring in a few places in the world, but has not yet become infectious for the general population.
