Kristine Kjellsen

Kristine is 22 years old and is from Norway. Her host family is Cheryl Greenway.

Family:
My mother is head nurse in the community of Stord. she stresses the importance of educated girls. My father is and engineer. He is also educated as a carpenter. My brother, Hans Kristian Kjellsen, attends a special education program for athletes. He also plays team handball in the Norwegian top league. My grandfather's cousin lives in Minnesota.

Education:
Attending University of Bergen, will graduate in 2007.

Occupational Experiences:
Worked as a saleswoman, kitchen assistant and in cleaning.

Service Activity:
Sexology Group: student member of the Norwegian Psychology Association.

Hobbies/Sports:
Reading, working, exercise and socializing with my new and old friends. Played the violin and the recorder in elementary school.

Why I Applied:
I wish to challenge myself both on an academic and a personal level. This would be an amazing opportunity to develop further understanding of other cultures, and later, to share this knowledge with others. It is also a chance to promote the understanding of the Norwegian culture.

Career:
I wish to practice Psychology. To study Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Testing and Survey.
