Leadership abounds in District 6900:

Leadership.

Former Gov. Bill Mulkey, Former Gov. Burnaw, Former Gov.  Robert Hall, Senator Johnny Isakson, Past Roswell Pres. Bucky Cook, Former Gov. Al Lipphardt

In 1915, the entire Southeast including Cuba and Puerto Rico comprised District 5.  With continuous growth the District has been divided many times, so that today Georgia alone comprised three Districts.  District 6900 includes the western half of Georgia (west of *-75) ranging from the Florida state line n the south to the northern boundary lines of Fulton, Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties.

District 6900 presently has 71 Rotary Clubs, with the Atlanta Club being the largest with 450 members.  The Atlanta Club hosted the Rotary International Convention in 1917 and 1970.  The region, under the designation of District 6900 and earlier designations, has provided presidents of RI, RI Directors and members of various committees.  The Sheffield family of Americus, Georgia, holds the unique distinction of having supplied three generations of district governors.

This year's District Conference was held April 24th - 27th at the San Destin Resort in Florida
